Progressing, two abreast, along the arid path, dust mushrooms from the cracks as halberds shake the ground. Two score and fifteen skulls top spearheads, heralding the way, shepherding shaking neophytes to covenant their vows.
You will find me in the Forest of Fiends, questioning the Oracle as the mages bleed.
The captain’s offer passes through my mind. Maybe if we turn back there will still be time. Itching for killing; yearning for burning, the rat-skull-wielding goblin scum present no chance of returning. Sweat dripping from the brows; awaiting words profound; drowned in the lake unfound; corpses painting the ground.

With no intention to be lost in this labyrinth for eternity and hunted, I draw my cursed blade that I have made wet with the blood of the demons I have slain as the banshee screams – pointed ears and wings in a joyous frenzy:

My fate decided - not to dine at the table of the Earl and drink the poisoned wine. Failing to keep consciousness at the bastard’s table… tall tales of bravery and plagiarized fable. The stakes are redefined; hospitality declined; pleading for mercy; pleading for peace of mind – “I will not heed your cries.” Suffer but never die; inhabiting defied; distort-ure, these lies; again your death denied. This house with thirteen walls a perfect tridegagon is imperfect and ill fated.

The swarm of flies circles the carcass of the not-yet-dead sentinel lain armless. Beyond the sanctum’s gates, the game begins. Humanity is doomed whoever wins. Astride the glimmering sea there is some semblance of treachery. Chased, taunted and led astray while we hunt chameleonic prey.
Traverse the swamplands. Roost in the the Realm of Entropy. The whisper calls my name as he stretches his hand out to me.
